PET Practice!

Today, I am going to talk about the PET (practical activities). The subject of English is very difficult for me, but the parts of “listening” is more difficult than reading comprehension. The reading in English about the places was easier and entertaining for me and the exercises seemed to me hard when I didn’t know a word.

The place that I would like to visit is the Taj Mahal in India. It is a beautiful and wonderful place because it has a very romantic story. Also, I would like to know the Indian Culture and its gastronomy that it is very different to Chile. I hope that I can travel to India in the future.

English is very useful today because it is the universal language, if you want to travel to a country with a different language, you must know how to speak English. It is very important to communicate with people from other countries with different language. 

My Experience as a Blogger

Hi Dear Friends!

Today in my last post, I'm going to talk about my experience as a blogger in the Inglish Class and I would like to write in the future.

This experience was very rewarding and satisfying for me, because it helped me to improve my English, for example, now I can do more complicated sentences, also I learned new words. It was a very entertaining and interesting  experience because I knew the life and tastes of my classmates.

The English complicates and confuses me, because it is a very difficult and very different from the Spanish language, also in my school my teacher wasn't very good teaching English.

In the future, I would travel to another country that uses English as the language, because I think I  would learn much faster, in that place I would be forced to learn to understand people. (Ahahah).

I would like more oral English classes and it have more dialogues, also I would like hear more "listening", for better oral English .

I would like to write about the types of music (I love music), talk about the pets and the family

How green I am!

Hello Dear Friends!

Today, I am going to talk about How green I am!.I've been recycling and my family has joined me in this, I like doing this because I feel that I help the world with my small contribution. We bring together the cartons and give it, a person passing through the street, also we bought drinks and juices in glass packaging and we recycle papers. I haven't joined environmental organizations because I don't have much time owing to studies and in my free time I visit my grandparents.

Another thingt that I do to help the environment are: Not to use my car, I always travel by bike when I'm on the countryside, I don't like driving in car there. Also, here in Santiago I travel by subway and walk when I go to buy something because with this, I reduce my carbon footprint. Besides, I have reduced the carbon footprint when: I use less paper, when I buy national food and when I use my green bag to buy.

I think to plant trees, plants and flowers helps the environment. When I'm on the countryside with my grandmother, we planted many flowers (she loves it) and in Santiago in my patio, I have a tree apricot, aloe vera and many flowers of all sizes.

Finally, I think that Santiago should have more green and recreation areas in all sectors, so that people on weekends go to the park, so they can walk their dogs. Also, I think that we need more recycling sites and a program on how to take care our environment. People are very dirty.

PET (Preliminary English Test) Practice >> Session 1

In the PET, the skill that is most difficult for me is: “Listening” because I don’t understand when speaking English.

Well, the easiest part for me was the “Vocabulary”, because the sentences were too short and easy to understand. I'm better at writing than the oral part.

The most difficult task for me was the part of listening, because I'm not very good in English in the oral part and find it hard to understand certain words.

My favorite Subject this Semester

Hi again, Dear Friends!

This week, I am going to talk about my favorite subject this semester. For me,  this year has been very difficult because last year I fail one subject and now, I haven’t had many classes this semester.  I have only five subjects, I like only one, because others bored me. The subject that I like is DESTREZAS II, I love it, because it is a subject that has to do with my career as a Dentist.

I have many  teachers in DESTREZAS II, but the headman of the UTE is the Dra. Gloria Xaus, and the responsible of my group in the practical classes is Joaquin Vivanco, I love how he taught and how much I've learned with him. He is a great teacher.

I love this subject, because it has a theoretical and practical part. I like the practical part, because the classes are very entertaining and I have to use dental instruments and my hands. It is a very active subject.

During this semester, I have learned many things about my career as a dentist. I have learned to manipulate the instruments dentists. Also, I have learned to do more cautious, delicate and keep calm when things don’t go as I want.  This subject has approached  me a lot of my career. Finally, I hope that in the future, I have subjects like Destrezas II, because it is very entertaining. Also, I hope that while I proceed through the semester, the classes are related to my career.

In the Act 01.- Listening Practice: What environmental problems does your country have? We conclude that the environmental  problem in UK are trash on the street and many people still don't recycle and separate their waste.

The result that we obtained in the  Act. 02 - Test your English > Giving Advice - Quiz.  Were 82% with 9 correct and in theLANGUAGE USE (Grammar) > Take this test and check your level were 73% with 50 correct.

2. the most common problem for the Dentists is that along their career they have to spend a lot of money because the dental instruments are very expensive and the tariff of the career too.

Another common problem is that the students are very stressed because they have many exams in a very short time and with a lot of content, making them very difficult. 

My Plans in the Summer.

Hi My Dear Friends!

Today, I am going to talk about my plans in the summer.

It seems that this summer I have to be in Santiago, because I have a brother of a month called Facundo and I have to take care when my mom is working. Also, I have to take care of my sister of five years old when she isn't at school.

My sister from eighth of December have holidays and I from sixteen of the same month. Therefore, I'm thinking of traveling with my sister to the countryside to my grandparents house, but first I have to talk to my mom.

My sister loves to travel there because it's quiet and you can do many activities like, swimming in the pool, ride bikes, go to the hill and play with my cousins and I can run, go dancing Zumba and I can do relaxation exercises. Also, for me it is easier to take care of my sister in the field because there, she's entertaining all day, while in Santiago she is bored in the summer because it's hot and we have to spend all day inside the house.

I also like to visit the countryside, because the weekends with my grandparents and my family always go to Pichilemu.

In Santiago are only my father, my mother and my brothers, we are very lonely, so I like to spend the summer with my family.

Finally, I hope to go to the countryside .

My Friends

My dear friends!

This week, I'm going to talk about my best friends.

I have two groups of friends, the first and oldest group of friends is at school.

I'm friends with them ten years ago, I met my friends when I was studying in Nehuen School. They are very special to me because they are always there when I need them, sometimes we fight about little things but we always end up reconciling. They always support me, help me and when I make a mistake they never judge me. Also every friday we get together to drink beer and dance electronic music.

My best friend is called Yaritza, she knows all my secrets, what happens to me in the day and in the week and she knows all the problems that I have with my ex-boyfriend. My other friends are German, Sebastian and Camila.

I have my group of friends in the university, I met them last year when I started studying dentistry. We are very different but had a great time and fun, we always make jokes and we're laughing, they always give me their abstracts to pass exams. I love them, they are very special to me.

Finally, I hope that in the future, we will never separate ourselves and fight over little things, also I hope that all my friends fulfill their dreams and be very happy.

My Future Job

Hi Dear Friends!

This week, I am going to talk about my future job.

I am studying Odontology and I hope that in five years, I graduated from Dentist and working with patients.

In the future I want to do my postgrado and  I really like the issues related with Oral Rehabilitation and Orthodontics, I think that they are very interesting topics because nowadays the people are concerned about to have teeth and perfect smile. I hope to choose one of these two specialties in a few years.

My dream is to work outdoors, I don't like being locked in a room because I get bored very quickly and dentistry is a career that is very active and you constantly interact with patients who have various dental problems.

In my future work, I would travel to indigenous communities in Chile and other countries, to share with people from different cultures and I can offer my help to people who need it . Also, I would like to give my knowledge on oral prevention people as professional dentistry. I love to travel and to know new places.

Finally, when I chose dentistry I was very insecure because I liked languages and I wanted to learn all the languages of the other countries because I'm very curious and all the interesting things attract me.

My Favorite Series

Hi Dear Friends 

This week, I am going to talk about my favorite series.

For me, It is very difficult to choose my favorite serie because I love watching TV and there are many series on cable TV.

I like many kinds of series, for example: the series that are research and  fairy tales and

in this summer I would like to watch GOT (Game of Thrones) because a lots of people has recommend me.

One of my favorite series is Dr. House because each case is interesting and he's very smart and I love his sarcastic humor.

Now, the serie that I watch every day is Once Upon A Time. I love this serie because I really like fairy tales but in this serie are shown from a different perspective, this serie is much more real and in each chapter new things happen and appear new characters from children's stories. Also, I like it because it is very updated; In the last chapter that I saw appeared Frozen characters. I recommend this serie.

Finally, last Monday I saw a serie on cable TV called Blindspot, this serie is about a tattooed woman who has lost her memory and doesn't remember her past, the FBI discovers that each tattoo is a clue to a crime. I loved Blindspot and the enigma that hides the woman. I hope to have time to see all the chapters.

My Favorite Foods

Hi Again Dear Friends!

This week,  I am going to talk about my favorite foods. The truth is that for me is easier to talk about the foods that I don't like, because I love the food and I like it from fast food to healthy food, but my favorites are the foods that have CORN, for example: "Beans with grinded corn and basil", "Corn humitas" and "Corn pie".

My favorite food is beans with grinded corn and basil, because I like so much the creamy texture of corn, the mix with beans and the combination of flavors in this dish with tomato salad is espectacular.

Always, I eat this food in the house of my Grandmother when I am of summer holidays in the countryside. Only I can eat this dish in the summer, because in winter there isn't corn. 

Finally, I don't know to cook this food, and I don´t want to learn because I am very bad for cooking. I prefer that my grandmother cook, because nobody cooking this dish as she and every food that she cooks, she do it with love.

My Holidays

Hi Dear Friends! 

This week, I am going to talk about my best holidays. 

My best holiday was last summer, I traveled through Southern of Chile with my father, mother, my sister Josefa and my cousins. We were in the South for two weeks.

I went places like: Valdivia, Niebla, Pto Montt, Pto Varas, Frutillar, Chiloé Island, Encenada and many other places.

In those two weeks, we visited many forest reserves and folk fairs. The place that I liked most was the "Salto del Huilo Huilo", It is beautiful and the wather is so clean. Also the trees were extremely large and big. That place is amazing and wonderful.

Another place that I recommend you go, is the Llanquihue Lake, we were on a camping four days in that place, the lake is very calm and the water isn't cold, and finally, the Hot Springs were so relaxing, hot water, mud baths and sauna are the best of it.

It was the best holiday because I was with my family and I knew many beautiful places of my country.

Countries Perfect For Me!

 Hi My Dear Bloggers!

This week I´m going to talk about the country and places that I would like to visit in the future.

I don't like places and countries that are very hot, because I hate the sun.

There are many countries that I like, especially those with cold weather (hahaha), for example: Canada, Greenland and Finland.

But the countries that I love and I hope to visit are: Belgium, Norway and England. 

My dream is to live and to work in Belgium, to know its culture, language and traditions of the people. I like Belgium for one thing in particular, there was born the most important and biggest event of electronic music, Tomorrowland. I love this style of music and Tomorrowland is epic.

In England, I would like to do my postgraduate, in the Oxford University and to know many places and museum of London.

Finally, Norway is one of the coldest and most beautiful countries in the world. Also, the Norwegians eat more healthy foods, drink clean water and breathe fresh air. IT IS PERFECT TO ME!
